Vocabulary

Long-exposure photography is when a long-duration shutter speed is used to sharply capture the stationary elements of image.

Light painting is when exposures are made by moving a hand-held light source or by moving the camera.

Solargraphy is a technique in which a fixed camera is used to expose photographic paper for an long amount of time.

Calotypes are a photographic process where a picture is exposed to a camera for a long period of time in order to take the image.
